Strive Gaming Announces Technology Deal with New Jersey-Based PlayStar

The Vancouver-based igaming tech startup Strive Gaming has announced a new collaboration with online casino operator PlayStar Casino, which will support the company's expansion in North America.

Canadian Growth

With more than 1,500 games, including slots, blackjack, roulette, and live dealer games from Evolution, PlayStar Casino is situated in New Jersey and is connected to Ocean Casino Resort.

With an emphasis on the North American market, Strive develops an omni-channel platform that provides clients in the igaming industry with online casino and sports betting options. Strive was established in 2020 and assists businesses in growing their operations.

As PlayStar grows, including into regulated Canadian markets in Ontario and Alberta, Strive will supply the company with its player account management (PAM) technology under the terms of the PlayStar agreement.

PAM Technology

“PlayStar is a highly ambitious operator with a clear vision for building one of the leading casino brands in North America,” said Max Meltzer, CEO at Strive Gaming. “They were looking for a platform partner that understands the realities of operating in the U.S. and Canada and can support them as they scale across multiple regulated markets.

"Our focus on North America, combined with the strength and flexibility of our platform, made this a natural fit. Both companies are on strong growth journeys and share similar ambitions for the region, so we’re excited to support PlayStar as they continue to expand.”

Meltzer's remarks were echoed by Fredrik Liljewall, CEO of PlayStar: "Choosing a platform partner with a strong regional focus and the ability to support our long-term ambitions was critical as we continue to scale our presence across North America."

"Strive’s technology, deep understanding of the North American market, and collaborative mindset made them the clear partner for PlayStar. We look forward to working closely together as we migrate our New Jersey operations and expand into additional jurisdictions, including Canada.”

Deal for Betty Content

According to Canadian Gaming Business, Betty, an Ontario-based online casino that specializes on slots, has signed a content agreement with Gaming Corp., a Swedish distributor of casino material.

The business has recently been active. In order to compete with the government's Play Alberta platform, which will launch on July 13, the company is anticipated to be among the operators growing into Alberta's new regulated gaming sector, according to media reports.

Betty established a multi-year strategic collaboration, including in-arena activation, with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors last year.
